Question about alcohol?

is it true that if you have a high tolerance for alocohol (like drinking every weekend or more) that it takes more alcohol to get drunk? cuz like when i first started drinkin i could get so drunk off of like 5 or 6 beers now it would probably take about 9.. but i mostly drink liquor and it still takes alot of that.. im 18 and im a girl

I have a high tolerance as well so I'll give you the same advice my trainer gave me....get to the gym! The more you work out the lower your tolerance will be. She gave some long detailed explanation about what actually happens with your body that I can't remember but to put her complicated explanation into more simpler terms...when you work out you release so much **** from your body and if you work out on a regular basis you get drunk faster!!! I box 3 nights a week and weight train every other day and it works!!! Not to mention your working off all those calories! Your staying fit and staying drunk and maybe saving money!!! Have fun!!

Yes your body does start to build a tolerance for alcohol after you continue to abuse alcohol. It's not a good think for a 18 yr old to be drinking any amount. But to answer your question, over time you will need to drink more to achieve the same effects you expereinced before.

holy crap girl, 9 beer! i think you you should take a vacation fro the booze for about a month, to get your tolerance down, Not because i think its bad for your health or anything it just sounds expensive.

Who cares if you are too young? Yeah it goes up, but your BAC doesn't and that's where people get into trouble-because if it goes up too much you can really easily get alcohol poisoning without realizing it.

yes of course you build up tolerance.

sort of like when that king tried to build up his tolerance by ingesting poison over long periods of time so he became immune.

You are too young to be drinking alcohol legally, but yes, the more you drink, the more tolerance you build up for it.

Yes...

but your body will probably have different reactions to hard liquor, wine, and beer. So maybe switch it up...lol
