I need help with a recipe for chocolate haystacks?

this time i made them by rule of eye and it turned to powder help!



NO-BAKE CHOCOLATE HAYSTACKS





2 c. sugar


2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa


1/2 c. milk


1 stick (1/2 c.) butter


2-3 c. oatmeal (Quick)


1/4 c. coconut


1/3 c. peanut butter





In saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, milk and butter. Boil one minute; remove from heat. Add oatmeal, coconut and peanut butter; blend thoroughly. Spoon mixture onto wax paper lined cookie sheet. Cool to set. Store in refrigerator in covered container.




CHOCOLATE HAYSTACKS





1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces


1/2 c. chopped nuts


2 1/2 c. cereal (corn flakes, puffed rice, or wheat)





Melt chocolate pieces in top of double boiler over boiling water. Add nuts and cereal; mix well. Remove from heat. Drop by tablespoons onto wax paper on a cookie sheet. Chill in refrigerator until haystacks harden. Makes about 2 dozen. Haystacks break easily. Store in a box between layers of wax paper.
